Full Stack Developer

Hamilton Aquatics is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated candidate for the position of Full Stack Developer with expertise in PHP and its relevant frameworks and CMS (Drupal, WordPress, Codeigniter, Laravel, Symfony etc) to join our dynamic and friendly team who is poised for exponential growth. You will be working closely with our management and people from various departments to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.

Term: Full time, 2-year contract, which is renewable.
Package: In the region of AED 8,000 including all allowances

Requirements:
Essential skills include; strong PHP skills with proven experience of MVC Frameworks. In addition,
  • Solid front end skills with HTML5, CSS3 and JS
  • Experience working with API's, particularly social media, payment gateways and web analytics platforms
  • Solid database experience, ideally both relational (e.g. MySQL/MariaDB) and non-relational (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Good experience of managing servers in a cloud environment (Amazon AWS)
  • Good OO skills (Object Oriented Programming)
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Understanding of key protocols such as SNMP, SSH, IMAP/SMTP
  • Hands on experience with PHP CMS like WordPress, Drupal etc
  • Experience with Angular, React, React Native, or other JavaScript libraries
  • Strong team player and communication skills
  • You never give up or compromise on quality and complexity

  • Understanding of modern Servers architecture and Virtualization environments, High Availability, Load Balancing and redundancy

Job Description:
  • You will take over the implementation and further enhancement of the existing architecture of the platform, and follow the development roadmap approved all together
  • Maintaining and championing high quality technical standards
  • You will understand repeatable automated processes for building the application, testing it, documenting it, and deploying it at scale
  • You will anticipate the next features expectations so that it can be enabled at the right time
  • An awareness of security concerns is important, as each layer presents its own possible vulnerabilities
  • Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
  • Refactor, optimize and improve the existing codebase for maintenance and scale
  • Use test driven development and acceptance tests to ensure feature quality
  • Interface with customer and internal teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions
  • Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues
  • Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
  • Coordinate with co-developers and keep project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serve as liaison between development staff and project manager
  • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development
