AN ACADEMY WHICH DEVELOPS TOTAL ATHLETES…

“The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in determination.”

To us here at Hamilton Aquatics we like to train hard and winning is important, but what is most important is developing the athlete as a whole.  Swimming is a demanding sport that has high physical and mental commitments, and thestresses and strains of academic life can add to this. At Hamilton Aquatics we nuture our swimmers. We balance of training times at specific times of the year and help keep the student swimmers relaxed and focused on all aspects lifestyle.

We encourage all our swimmers to strive hard, work hard and develop personal work ethics.  Our POINTS MEAN PRIZE LEAGUE fosters and develops these qualities.

THE POINTS MEAN PRIZES LEAGUE

During every swimming session, every swimmer is able to score points both in and out of the water. These are awarded for working hard, being committed, getting good grades at school.  We aim to encourage our swimmers to strive for excellence in all areas of their life.  Swimmer who are late, forget their kit or misbehave at school lose points.

Swimmers are able to check their progress on a weekly basis in order to monitor how many points they have won or lost for themselves and their team.

At the end of the year, the overall league results are announced at an awards ceremony, which is also used to raise money for charity. Awards are given for the top team, top male and top female swimmer for each month and the whole league.

IT’S NOT JUST SWIMMING!

The main function Hamilton Aquatics is to provide specific swimming training services to competitive swimmers. We do also believe in fully developing, all aspects of club life and as a result try and add a social side to the club. These include cinema trips, paintballing, beach mornings, go-karting and festive functions.

SO HOW DO I JOIN?

How old are you? How good are you? Do you want to achieve a reasonable standard? These are some of the questions we ask of potential new members. Ability, in general, however does not matter because the club has such a wide range of groups.

In most instances we will have a training facility which will match your need.

In all instances, new members are accepted on a trial basis. Once the trial period has been completed the new member has the opportunity to become a full club member.
